Tour Timeline

  • 1
    Chennai- Mamallapuram (55km,1 hour)
    • Your Enchanting South and Lakshadweep tour will start with your arrival at Chennai airport. Chennai is the capital city of Tamil Nadu, and earlier it was known as Madras. It is now one of the metropolitan cities of South India.
    • You will be welcomed at the airport and a short sightseeing tour will be followed.
    • The very first stop will be Fort St George which primarily has the fort museum, which is located in one of the oldest surviving building of the fortress and is a must visit because of its impressive collection of exhibits which are spread all over ten galleries.
    • From there you will proceed to visit the Anna Samadhi and museum, continuing your Enchanting South tour, which is a fantastic memorial built on the famous marina beach. The purpose behind the building of the structure was to commemorate the death of former Chief Minister of the Indian state Tamil Nadu, C. N. Annadurai.
    • Mahaballipuram or Mamallapuram is a UNSECO World Heritage Site and it is about 55 kms from Chennai. There you will discover many cave temples and sculptures.
    • After that you will proceed to check in at hotel.
    • Enjoy an overnight stay in the hotel.

    Mamallapuram – Kanchipuram – Chennai ( 145 KM , 3 Hours )
    • After a delicious breakfast in the morning you will head towards the Shore Temple as the next destination of your Enchanting South and Lakshadweep tour. The special thing about this temple is that it is Tamil Nadu’s first structural temple that is located on the sea shore.
    • Later in the day you shall depart for Kanchipuram.
    • It is situated just 70 kms from Chennai, Kanchipuram is also known as a Temple city. Kanchipuram is one of the oldest cities in South India, and once it was a center of learning for both Tamil and Sanskrit.
    • From there you will proceed to Chennai city. And after the arrival there proceed to and check in at hotel for overnight stay.

    Chennai- Madurai (by air- 1 hour)
    • After breakfast in the morning you shall head to Chennai to board a flight to Madurai.
    • After arriving at Madurai airport proceeding to a hotel in order to check in which will already be booked under your Enchanting South Tour Package.
    • Madurai is one of the most important and liveliest cities of the Indian state Tamil Nadu. This city holds a great historical and cultural importance and values.
    • In the afternoon we shall leave for sightseeing tour of Madurai.
    • We shall visit Meenakshi Temple which is 50 meters high and sprawling for 45 acres, it is a brilliant example of South Indian temple. And Built in 1636, Tirumalai Naik Palace which is situated near the famous Meenakshi Temple. The main attraction of the palace is the courtyard and dancing hall.
    • Overnight stay.

    Madurai- Periyar (140 km,3 hours)
    • We shall leave for Periyar in the morning. After arriving there we shall proceed to check in at hotel.
    • From there we shall head towards Periyar National Park. The park is situated in Pathanamthitta in Kerala and Periyar National Parkis a reserve with protected area and it is famous for its elephant and tiger reserve.
    • During the afternoon you shall enjoy aboat cruise which is the best way to experience the wilds of Periyar national park.
    • Overnight stay at hotel.

    Periyar – Kumarakom ( 190 KM, 4 Hours )
    • The next morning you shall proceed towards Kumarakom. After arriving there you shall check in at the resort.
    • Kumarakom lies parallel to the Arabian Sea. It is the chain of a brackish lagoons and lakes which are interconnected by canals which are both man-made and natural.
    • The afternoon is free to relax on the lakeside accordingly to your leisure or if interested you can head towards the bird sanctuary in Kumarakom and the local villages.
    • You may also experience an Ayurveda massage to relax your body and soul.
    • Overnight stay at resort.

    Kumarakom – Alleppey
    • After a delicious breakfast board the houseboat and get ready for an amazing day.
    • You shall enjoy a memorable day on the enchanting backwaters in a Houseboat and get to explore its breathtaking beautiful surroundings and the fascinating Kerala countryside taking pleasure in the journey of your Enchanting South and Lakshadweep tour.
    • All meals will be served on board and the overnight stay will also be in the houseboat.

    Alleppey – Kochi (65 Kms, 1 ½ Hours )
    • After disembarking the houseboat and enjoying a drive to Kochi, arrive and check in at a hotel.
    • Kochi is the largest city in Kerala, which is situated on the west coast of India. Most of the places to visit in Kochi are in the vicinity to Fort Kochi.
    • In the afternoon we shall leave for the sightseeing tour of the city.
    • We shall visit Dutch palace museums, which palace is also known as Mattancherry Palace. The Portuguese palace ffeatures the murals depicting Hindu temple art, portraits and exhibits of the kings of Kochi.
    • The blue and white chinese tiles are used to make the Jewish Synagogue floor which looks beautiful.
    • St. Francis Church was originally built in 1503 and is the oldest European church in India.
    • Chinese fishing net is the important landmark of the city of Kochi which is situated near fort Kochi.
    • In the evening, you will get to enjoy the classical dance form of South India, known as Kathakali.
    • Enjoy overnight stay at hotel.

    Kochi – Lakshadweep ( By Flight – 1 ½ Hours + Boat / Helecopter )
    • You shall head towards Kochi airport to board a flight to Agatti.
    • After arrival at Agatti airport and transfer to Kadmat Island Resort by boat (the boats do not operate from June to September).
    • Kadmat is a beautiful island which is 6 nautical miles away from Agatti and it takes about two hours to reach there by speed boat.
    • Enjoy your overnight stay at Kadmat Island Resort.

    Lakshadweep
    • The day is at leisure to relax on the beach or you can explore the various activities around the beach and make the best of your Enchanting Lakshadweep tour.
    • Apart from diving, you can try your hand at host of activities ranging from interesting to exhilarating depending on what you want to explore.

    Lakshadweep
    • Another day is at your leisure to relax on the beach or explore other various independent activities in and around the island, as a part of your Enchanting Lakshadweep tour package.

    Lakshadweep

    Lakshadweep – Kochi ( By Boat / Helecopter + By Flight – 1 ½ Hours)
    • Transfer by boat to Agatti airport in order to board a flight to Kochi.
    • Arrival and check in at hotel.
    • The evening is free for you so as to finish last minute shopping and other activities.
    • Overnight stay at hotel in Kochi.

    Departure
    • You shall proceed towards airport to board a flight to onward destination with the memories of this trip which will never fade away.

Exclusion

  • Your Enchanting South and Lakshadweep Tour Package won't include any kind of Visa fees (if applicable during your journey from start to finish).
  • The entry fees to any historical monuments/ museums/ parks or any kind is not to be included under the Enchanting South Tour Package.
  • Any camera charges/rides or extra curricular activities are not covered under your South and Lakshadweep Tour Package.
  • Tips will not be given from the tour package (they are always optional, but some guidance will be given to you in the pre-departure information pack that you'll receive after the booking).
  • Any of the beverages other than drinking water & any costs of a personal nature is not covered under the Lakshadweep tour package.
  • Any of the International/Internal flights that are take to/from the start/finish of the trip is not covered under your Enchanting South and Lakshadweep Tour Package.
